We had an amazing two-week summer holiday. We spent the first week in Rome, and travelled to Pompeii and Puglia during the second week. It was our first time in Rome, and we were truly impressed by all the beautiful historical buildings.
We found a brilliant accommodation via airbnb. It was a converted old monestry with a big garden and a swimming pool. it was located just outside Rome (about 30 minutes drive). Here is the link: https://www.airbnb.nl/rooms/859744
Joakim and Tobias in front of the Colosseum.
We bought Joakim a great book before going to Rome: "This is Rome"
He really wanted to see everything that was in the book, and it gave us an opportunity to try to explain everything to Joakim (and Tobias).
This is how we travelled Rome. Joakim relaxing in the buggy and Tobias relaxing in the sling. Sometimes Jorien pushed the buggy...
Refreshments in the Forum Romanum.
They still think I am funny
Spanish Steps
Tobias trying to make a paper plane of the table cloth, and testing if it could fly (in the middle of a restaurant).
Throwing coins in the Trevi fountain
Exploring Roman night live.
We visited the Pantheon and Vatican city during our last day.
Super man in front of Saint Peter's cathedral.
The very last thing we did was buying the best ice cream you can find in Rome (according to Trip Advisor)
