Merano was one of empress Sissi's favourite cities, and we really like it as well. There are beautiful mountains, nice restaurants, and they speak German. Importantly, it is also home to the Forst brewery. Here are some pics from our visit early October.

Another important reason to visit Merano.... the Colterenzio winery is on the way to Merano! They make some great Pinot Nero, and the views from the cantina are amazing.
