Andlau (France)

We spent three nights in the Alsace (France) on our way back from Holland to Italy. It is a beautiful region just bordering on Germany, and we were lucky to be there during the 14th of July celebrations. We stayed in a holiday apartment of Domaine Wohleber (wine estate).

The owners' house:

The holiday apartment:

They made some good wines, the Cremant and 'Pinot Noir en Barriques' were especially good.

Joakim and Tobias really liked the big garden where they picked strawberries, raspberries, and cherries every morning for breakfast.

And we enjoyed drinking fine wines in the garden (not for breakfast).

The small village (Andlau) had its own 14th of July celebrations with fire work and German influenced food (flammkuchen!!)

Visiting the nearby city Obernai

There were a lot of beautiful lakes nearby.

We also visited Strasbourg which is a really nice city.

Two very hungry boys!

Sailing away... (they played here for more than one hour, it was amazing!)

There were bikes in France...

... and spiders! Or at least their webs.
